Wild River Film and Music Festival
With its inaugural year held in 2006, The Wild River Music and Film Festival will be an event that would modernize how film fest should be made. The Wild River Music and Film Festival will take place on September 6 to10 in beautiful downtown in Minnesota, on St. Paul.
One innovative feature of the newly inaugurated Wild River Music and Film Festival will be the music competition and the comedy portion of the Festival. The Music feature will demonstrate dozens of the newest musical performances in both a large outdoor concert setting on Harriet Island, and concert-sized indoor setting at Roy Wilkins Auditorium. And since it will be a musical special and competition of diversity as over 40 musical performers and bands of entirely differentiated genres, some shows that will play during the festival will be hosted on some best clubs all over the town.
Another cool feature is the Comedy portion of the festival. The Wild River Music and Film Festival will showcase the craziest acting and Improv troupes. One excellent feature of this comedy festival is the Idiot Box and the Brave New Workshop. There’s also a stand-up comedy which is a tried and true feature in any comedy celebration. The Comedy Performances of The Wild River Music and Film Festival will be held aboard the Minnesota Showboat on Harriet Island.
Of course the main event is still intact. The Wild River Music and Film Festival will still faithfully screen the best films around the world. The screenings will take place in the Wild River Theater at the Roy Wilkins Studios which is upstairs from the main auditorium and on the 3M Theater at the Minnesota History Center. Documentaries, shorts and feature films will be showcased on this annual event.
